What Has Been Missing... and some awful outfit pics

Hola Divas,
Its been forever and I'm certain I've lost all my core fans. But I realized today... I'm not happy. And the reason I'm not happy is because I am no longer doing what used to bring me immense joy which is my blog.

This realization is what made me come to terms with the fact that I've got to get some things in order... and stat. First, I need to get my camera lens fixed. Second, I need to get my body back in shape to once again fit my favorite clothes. And last but not least, I need to make time to sit and blog about what is going on with me.

I loved coming home in a cute outfit to take pictures and then to sit and upload the pics with excitement and nervousness. Why nervous? Because as a blogger you always question how your outfit which you perceive to be amazing will be judged by the masses (yea... I say that like I have a huge fan base... lol). You hope and pray that the outfit you thought was dang near designer quality will be admired and used for inspiration for years to come (again it appears I think my blog is bigger than it is... trust me... I know better). But even with all the nervousness, fear, and criticism... blogging fed my desire to try harder... be more creative... and to take more risks with my fashion. Now I can't imagine going back to my humdrum fashion choices of 2009.

So even though the pics may suck... I will blog with my phone until my finances will allow me to fix my Canon camera lens... Below you will find a few outfits I was able to capture recently... again... I apologize in advance for the photo quality. hasta la proxima ~besitos~

DOTD: Pulling Out An Old Favorite

Hola Divas…
I love my new job. I mean I know I say it often on twitter and Facebook… but I really really love my new job. So today was a pretty big day. I had a big meeting that I had to prepare for and all this week was prep for said meeting. I had been told on Tuesday that I had to be careful with the amount of “skin” I showed at work. I know that many people would think I would take offense to this… but I didn’t. I even posted some information about it on Facebook because of 2 reasons… 1) Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE my boobies and they know I don’t always think before getting dressed & 2) Because my friends are hilarious and I knew that they would make some awesomely ridiculous jokes about it. However, some people took it quite serious. And that is how you know which people know you best.

So needless to say… when I knew I had this SUPER important meeting today… I knew I had to look professional and not show any skin. So I went into my closet and thought… what to wear. And this Igigi dress stood out and said.. “Hello!!! Remember me?!!” I did remember this dress and how often I wore it before I started blogging. But today… when I wore it… it brought back memories of how awesome I have always felt in this dress. I didn’t want to be boring so I decided to spruce up the outfit with coral accessiories (you remember how I feel about coral) and I felt like a million bucks. I also felt that adding the cami and the shoes made it professional with a little something extra. But a comment was made on my facebook/instagram photo "You allowed to wear shoes like that to work??” Which leads me to the question for today’s post… Are my shoes inappropriate for work? If so, why? Because in what handbook does any company mention shoes (other than flipflops & sandals)? Would you wear shoes like this to work if your were running a meeting? Do you think company handbooks should include what types of embellishments should be allowed on shoes that are worn in the office? Know that your answers to this question will not stop my shoe game (I mean seriously… you know how I love my heels), but I’m just curious what you all think… Hasta la proxima ~besitos~

DOTD: Coral-tastic

Hola Divas…
If Happy-ness (yes I misspelled it intentionally) came in a color… it would Coral. I love Coral. It has not replaced Purple as my favorite color, but it definitely in 3rd place behind fuschia. So I felt completely confident and awesome in this dress today. Add my shoes from Shoedazzle and I feel like a complete Diva.

Today was a good day… even though it didn’t start out that way. When I attempted to drive off in my SUV this morning, my car wouldn’t start. But God is good, and he had my neighbor the mechanic in the parking lot taking out his trash. So he gave me a jump and I headed off to work. After putting some air in my tire as my front tire was getting a flat too. But that was the hardest part of my day… the rest of my day was filled with work (that I LOVE) and these pics.

I am so proud of myself for doing 3 posts in 1 week. I want to show my readers that I am seriously back this time. I need my readers to know how much they mean to me. Actually this blog kept me sane when I thought I had nothing else… and I want to actively blog again because it brings me joy. What is the longest you’ve gone without blogging (if you blog)? What is your color hierarchy system (meaning what are your top 3 favorite colors in order)? Is coral a color you’ve found yourself gravitating to this spring? What do you think of today’s OOTD? Hasta la proxima ~besitos~

DOTD: And the award for worst blogger ever goes to…

Hola Divas…
I have completely fallen off my blogging game… I want to blog but lately I’ve been sooo swamped at work that I just can’t seem to find the time/desire. Now this week has also been bad because I have a double ear infection and strep throat… but I I persevered and made it to work (albeit not particularly on time). But today… after finally having a diagnosis… I decided to step up my fashion game today. I have to say this is one of my favorite outfits in a while. I felt like all the pieces seemed to come together effortlessly.

Now I need you to ignore the fact that I am makeup-less and that my face is swollen (yea… its that bad). But focus on my first piece ever purchased from Macy’s and my awesome shoes that I love. And also today was the first outdoor picture and I hope there will be many more to come…

Now that I truly intend to stay connected… What have I missed in the blogsphere? Have you blogged any outfits or content that you really want me to check out? Leave a comment with a link below *smiles*

DOTD: Don’t Poke the Bear… oh & a review

Hola Divas…
Okay… usually when I say that… I mean… get the hellz away from me before I rip your head off. But today that title is for dear old hubby… he is in a mood. He can’t seem to stop being soooo grumpy. I have just decided that I will leave him alone tonight and focus on my own happiness. Today was a pretty good day and I’m in a pretty good mood. And today I wore one of my favorite colors… Coral is AMAZING!!!

So I have to say I received an email from Penningtons and they wanted to send me a fun surprise from their new lookbook. And I didn’t know what to expect them to send… but WHOA!!!! What are they chances I would get a CORAL Trench Coat?! I don’t think I have been this excited to wear anything in a long time. So I of course, had to wear it the same week I received it in the mail… hehe!!! It’s $130 and I don’t own a Trench… but I have to say that it is totally 1000% worth the cost. I can’t wait to wear it in the sunlight (but of course I get home too late to take day pictures). I love the way it hangs… and I the color is bright and AMAZING… and the fit is perfection. Okay so this is not a review as it is a reason for you to buy one… seriously… if you want we can even wear them on the same day like TWINZIES!!! Okay… maybe that is a bit much (but it we could do a coral trench blogger challenge… oooh the possibilities)…

Anyway… I’m going to hit the sack before hubby gets any angrier… and before you ask… yes… I will kiss him goodnight regardless of his stinky mood… cause I’m just that type of wife… lol… Ever have a day when your significant other was angry and you couldn’t seem to fix it? Do you have any advice? What would you do? Hasta la proxima ~besitos~

DOTD: Corally Acceptable

Hola Divas…
Last night I was in the ER until 1am (hubby was is very sick and I was very worried last night). I am exhausted and can’t imagine moving another muscle. But today I mentioned on twitter that I was soooo excited about this outfit (I have to admit if I hadn’t planned this outfit weeks ago I wouldn't have had a clue what to wear this morning) and when it came together I was even more excited about it. The only thing I wish is that I wasn’t so exhausted while wearing it… because I think it takes a little bit away from the outfit.

Anyway… something inspired me to put this outfit together. I can’t tell you what because I’m on Pinterest (add me if you’re on there as well… just click the previous link to get to my page) so much lately that I don’t know if it was there or somewhere else that made me want to wear leopard and coral together. If you recently did this on your blog… it may have been you who inspired me… my mind is a load of mush lately. I’m working so hard and I just don’t know when I'm coming or going anymore.

I’m reading blogs… I promise I am… I may not comment but I am reading and seeing your outfits… I just don’t always have time to comment lately… but I do try to read blogs on breaks or when  hubby is driving or we are sitting somewhere waiting. Just imagine that on each post I’m agreeing with your point of view and telling you how fabulous you look… because I would support you if I just had… ummm… let’s say 6 more hours in a day.

Anyway… today I lost my part time job (because I missed last night and didn’t call anyone… for the reason why… see above my first sentence) but I’m not upset… now that I am full time at my day job, I am more busy than anticipated and can’t find the time or energy to clean banks at night. I believe wholeheartedly that God will provide that money to me in another way. I have faith in that. Anyway… thanks for stopping by… I miss you when I can’t blog and I hope that soon my workload will lessen and I can return to you fully. Hasta la proxima ~besitos~
