DOTD: Waste of Space

I wanted to write an awesome post… but it’s late. I’m exhausted and well… my mind is a complete blank. I loved this outfit but I think you can see I don’t feel well in the pictures… I wish I had felt better so I could really Diva it up in the pictures…

How are you today? What did you wear today? Am I being overly critical about these pictures?

P.S. I am loving the lace back of this cardigan

DOTD: Really Starting To Like This…

I did it again. I mixed patterns… floral and polka dots. I wasn’t going to do this at first but then I just couldn’t help myself. And I love it…

Today I also got my daughters hair straightened and I have to tell you I love how it turned out and she is estactic… I am currently on my way out the door so I don’t have much to say… but I promise to do a post to really catch all my readers up to what’s going on tomorrow (let’s hope I actually remember). My mom is doing better and is home. We are just waiting on test results so we know exactly what was wrong. I hope you all are having a good weekend and don’t forget that at 2am… turn your clocks back (even though every clock I own is on satellite and I haven’t turned back a clock in 3 years… but stilll… don’t forget!!) ~besitos~

DOTD/Review: Slone Maxi from Lucie Lu

This month Lucie Lu sent me this dress from her new dress collection. I loved it online but when it arrived I had second thoughts. I had seconds thought all the way until the moment I put it on this morning. I think it’s because of the bra I tried it on with. So yesterday when I wore it I decided to wear it with a strapless bra because I felt like it was a better look. I wore the straps today but I will be honest that it will be my first, last, and only time wearing the straps not tucked in. I’ll probably wear it strapless going forward. So here is the review breakdown…

The Fit: I went down a size with this dress and it was a bit snug in the breast but I wear a size 44G so I don’t blame the dress, I blame my humungous boobies. I still love the fit everywhere else.

The Fabric: I love love love how this dress was made. The fabric is thin enough to be cool in summer, but thick enough that you know its nicely made. It’s also perfectly flowy too.

The Color: Perfection!! I am on a orange/coral crush right now so you know…I love this color!!!

The Length: It’s a maxi but because I’m on the “tall” side… I wish it was just a smidgen longer.

The Overall Dress: Excellent Maxi addition to my wardrobe that is original in style and shape. If you want a maxi that you know you won’t see on everyone else… this is the maxi you want!

So I have to say this again… if you haven’t tried Lucie Lu… You are missing out… She has so many dresses I desperately want right now. She’s affordable, on trend, and has quality garments… You see I wear mine over and over and over. BTW… I also have this dress in the purple (are you even surprised?)

DOTD: Tropical Army

That is what came to mind when I saw my image in the army. It only makes sense in my head… but I thought it could work as a blog title… lol

Now today has been eventful… well… by a stay-at-home mom’s standard. I found some money that I wouldn’t have realized was mine if I hadn’t cleaned out my purse. I sold a few items on my other blog (thank goodness). So I feel great about it all. I think I am heading in the right direction. And “hubby” seeing me sell my stuff is being nicer to me. Are we 100% better… not by a long shot. But he is the father of my children and I have to be civil. Which was harder to do when he was talking to me like a worthless bum. Anyway… today’s post is supposed to be light and airy. I fill great today.

Now I say I feel great… even though… I think today’s look is much better in my head then it is in these photos. The buttons spread apart when I sit down (which I didn’t know before I took these pictures). I think these photos do this jumper justice. So I ask my beautiful readers… What do you think? Do you like this jumper? Would you wear it? If so, how would you jazz it up?

DOTD: Yoli Bad Arse

Ever make a purchase and hmmm & hahhh because you’re not sure of the purchase? Well that is how I felt about this dress. It was $10, but I kept asking myself… how would I wear it? I thought to myself it would be another item that would just take up space in my closet. Then I bought this bomber jacket for $22 at Dots and I thought hmmm… a $30 outfit could work. So this morning I put them together. And I have to admit… I really like the outcome. It has a girly element but as says that I’m a bad arse and you can’t touch me… lol

I really didn’t want to wear this outfit with tights… but seriously this weather and its inconsistency is really working my last last nerve. But it was either this outfit or pants… and I’m just really over this pants, sweater, and jacket weather. Actually that is not true. I love wearing my blazers, sweaters, and cardis… but I am just not a fan of winter wear… its just not me…

While I have your attention, I wanted to let you know that I reverted back to my old comment feature. Because the other feature was so glitchy and I was missing out on communicating with some of my best readers. So I am going back to the blogger method. I know that means it won’t notify you when I reply to your questions… but if you want to know when I reply you can subscribe to the comments or you can email me any questions you really want answered. I am here for you and I don’t want you to feel I’m not listening.

So I hope you like this look… and I hope you enjoy your weekend!!! Do you have anything fun planned for this weekend? What do you think of this outfit?
