Divas of the Week: You lookin at a Winner!

Okay, another week has gone by and here are the looks I'm loving... I will only do 5 ladies a week, so if I miss you, keep up your style and I will catch you in an upcoming week. If you're not sure I'm reading your blog, leave me a comment or shoot me an email...

First up this week is a beautiful lady from a blog I just found. Her name is Sally and the title of her blog is Already Pretty. She has a pretty huge following so it wouldn't surprise me if you've already scoped her out. But I liked this outfit and the contrast of colors. I see on her blog she is not afraid of color. You know neither am I... so I have to show love to people who creatively put colors together.

Next up is a blogger is using a jacket and since that is my newest fetish I had to show her look some love. It's Jill of Jilly Beanstalk. When I saw this post earlier this week  showed her some love and wrote it down as a possible for the feature. She made the cut *winks* don't you agree?

Third up is the wonderful giving blogger Weesha of Weesha's World. I absolutely love this girl because she is one of the first bloggers to add me to her blog roll. She is so supportive of others and her style is... AMAZING. But this weeks top contender is as she put "I think this skirt wins the title of my favourite skirt, ever!" And I agree!!! This skirt is amazing on her... and adding the leopard bag (leopard being my current favorite trend) GENIOUS!!!

Coming up next is Nicolette... I know you know her because she's awesome and super sweet and her photos are... amazing. I go to her blog for the photography. But the skirt that I was tempted to buy but didn't (I was afraid it would be too short) but on her it is... Classic! I introduce the talented Nicolette Mason

Now this outfit is the winner of the week (even though it is not a contest) I just love how she pulled this together. I told her via comment this outfit says " I'm a super cute girly girl but I'll kick your arse!" I just think that says it all about this outfit.... LOVE IT!!!! Nikstarr

So these are my picks of the week. I'm sure there will be something tomorrow... but I felt the power to type tonight... so I figured why not post it now? What do you think of these ladies? Are there some outfits you felt I missed? Comment and let me know...

Also, if you're pic is above and you don't want it included in this post... let me know and I will promptly remove...

DOTD: Diva do over #1

Have you ever done an outfit and felt that it wasn't good? Well, I have been feeling like my first posts to my blog were not my best. So I am attempting to change up those outfits that I felt were... eeehhhh!!

So here is my first attempt at fixing these outfits. Or trying another way to wear pieces that make it look better. Its a top I wore back in January and I felt the outfit was cute at the time, but as my style has evolved so has my opinion of that outfit. I was wearing this patterned top with black leggings and wedge strapped boots. POST LINK HERE

              Before                                                                               After

Today I wore it simply with jeggings from Faith21 and with big loop burgundy  earrings with matching flats.  I prefer today's take on this outfit... Which do you prefer?

Outfit Breakdown:
Top: Consignment
Jeggings: Faith21
Shoes: Giveaway win
Earrings: Beauty Supply

Sizes to Fit Review: Red-y accents my dress

You may remember a while back I did a post called I Want It So Badly: STF Ity Sash Contrast Dress. At the time I couldn’t decide whether to get the purple or the black. Well, the great people at Sizes to Fit sent me the black and I must say… I love it…

The Dress: STF Ity Sash Contrast Dress - $19.99 (that’s the actual price!!!)

The Review: I wore this dress to go to the MVA and to pick up my kids from school. I got some “love your shoes” comments, and of course other mothers that didn’t say a word but formed a group to laugh and point. I’m not mad… I look damn good and they were apparently super jealous.

The material is like that super stretchy jersey feel and the tie in the back is long enough I could probably tie it in the front too (but I haven’t tried it). I didn’t want to wear this with a boring red or black shoe. But this shoe I felt was a perfect fit. What do you think?

I wanted to remind you all that the owner of Sizes to Fit is offering my awesome readers a coupon code that is valid until the end of September: DDT0910 for 10% off your entire order at Sizes to Fit!

So tell me, have you have purchased anything from them yet?!!

Giving Inspiration to others...

So if you've read my blog (and not only looked at the pictures) you would know that I didn't feel like myself for a bit there. And not to mention I was fashionally blocked and it was making me nuts. So now I have all these ideas and I can't wear them fast enough. So this morning I awoke with this need to create a olive and coral outfit. Well, when my friend Amanda from Necessary Imperfections wanted some inspiration I decided to "lend" her this idea. As I still have not found a great olive jacket this look is a ways off for me. I knew she had the asos curve jeggings so I thought maybe she could pull it off or a similiar look with different colors. If you do a coral/olive look, please please link me to the post...

DOTW: First try at a new feature

So since I am having a fashion crisis (unable to think of outfits to wear) I have decided to start a feature similiar to Supporting my Divas but doesn't require quite as much typing... *lazy laugh here*

Here I will post pics of the DOTW (Divas of the Week)... outfits on the web I found absolutely awesome...

First up is a pic of Lexy from Beautylicious Fashionista. I loved her use of the cargo skinny pant. It prompted me to go and look for a pair... all of which were out of my price range.

Second, is Gabi from Young, Fat, and Fabulous.  She is wearing a blazer from Faith21 I deperately wanted to add to my closet but feared that it would not fit well on my arms. She was in almost all Faith21 and it worked so well... LOVE IT!!

Third is my dear friend Samantha from Lips, Hips & FATshion Tips With Stiletto Siren. This dress is amazing... and the color on her is also... amazing. I missed this dress until today... but all the same... I'm glad I saw it!! Way to go, bestie

Now, its on to Allison from Curvy Girl Chic... This dress... those shoes... all adorable... I love the mary janes... but with that dress she looks like a real life babydoll...

Last but most definately not least... is Alissa from Stylish Curves. This jumpsuit... no words can describe how awesome it is and how much I wish I had seen it first. But I doubt I would look half as good as she does.

These are my pics... did you see any great outfits this week? Let me know I would love to check them out.

Also, if you're pic is above and you don't want it included in this post... let me know and I will promptly remove...

DOTD: Tears for Fears

I will use this post to bring you into my life. I have been unemployed since April and its hard. Its terribly hard with 3 kids and no savings left. I am having "episodes" that cause me to be unable to function. I cry and cry and can't seem to function. So although below I look fine... I am a mess inside. Because of that I have not written an article or really been feeling like myself. Its sad because I know it bothers the people around me that I'm not my upbeat self but this will not be better until I have a job where I can better provide for my family.

If you know someone who knows about a job in Maryland... let me know... at this point I will do anything that will pay enough for my daycare.

If you like anything in my BLOG SALE... please know every purchase helps. If you at any point would like to donate... understand... I would greatly appreciate it but understand that most people can't do it.

Outfit Breakdown:
Tank: Wal-Mart
Capris: Lane Bryant
Blazer: Sihouettes
Shoes: Bamboo (Alloy)

DOTD: My Torrid affair

Okay, to bring you into the title, I have a love/hate relationship with Torrid. I have bought items that I am non to pleased with... and I have bought others that I absolutely adore. So I can say the last two Torrid dresses have made me think they are taking the customer's concerns to heart. This dress below I bought on a whim as its colorful and it was 50% off. I figured if I ended up hating it, I could always cut it up or just wear it with blazers. So the last few days have been a whirlwind. Monday: I was extremely hungover and unable to function. Tuesday: my Preschooler returned to school and I had some household things to accomplish. So last night before bed I told myself, I was going to get dressed up today... even if it killed me. Here is the result.

Outfit Breakdown:
Dress: Torrid
Cardigan: Faith21
Shoes: Old Navy
Earrings: Beauty Supply

What do you think?!!
