DOTD: Doing It Casually on Friday

Hola Divas!!
I finally took pictures of a completely casual outfit. I woke up this morning not wanting to wear anything. Wishing I wore pajamas… because then I could wear my pajamas to work (sorry if that is TMI… but seriously… I hate clothes when I’m sleeping). So I finally decided on leggings and boots for comfort. I can’t lie and tell you this idea was all mine. My coworker wore something similar earlier this week and I just tweaked it and wore it… my way. I loved how easy and casual I felt today.

Don’t get me wrong, I love my stilettos and minis but sometimes… you want something that isn’t so “high maintenance”. Something that doesn’t scream “look at me” and today’s outfit was a perfect representation of that. As for the pictures below… sorry if I’m not smiling as brilliantly… but I was still sleep walking when hubby took these pictures at 6:50 this morning (exactly!!!). So I tried to smile (as he had instructed) but all I kept thinking was… I am really really close to my warm bed… me want me bed. So what did you wear today? Were you off today for Veteran's Day? DOTD: Love On Top

Hola Divas!!!
Okay… I can’t get enough of this song. I listen to it every morning on my way to work. And each evening on my way home. I feel like that song (by Beyonce… btw) is the perfect song for how hubby and I are now. As the lyrics say Nothing’s perfect, but it’s worth it after fighting through my fears. I think that after worrying that I was making the wrong decision about our separation… or even more so about us getting back together… I think now I truly feel like I’ve made the right decision for me and for my family.

Now as for the outfit today… no… your eyes are not playing tricks on you… those are actually forest green patent stilettos… OH YEAH!!! I saw them… I loved them… I had to have to them… and I don’t regret that decision… Purple & green… love love love that combo. Anyway… I am on my way out the door to get to my part time… and then back home to go nighty night. I hope all is well with my marvelous readers. I am still on the lookout for more Diva Spotlight participants. And even if you’ve done it before… I would love to shine the spotlight on you again. Anyway… onto the fashion… ~besitos~

DOTD: Giving You What You Want

Hey Divas,
I wasn’t going to post today but I remember you commenting saying you didn’t only want to see my “perfectly executed” outfits but some of my “not so good” ones… So this outfit was something I threw on because I made the horrible mistake of NOT getting my clothes ready the night before a Monday morning. So I found myself sitting on the end of my bed… buck naked… hating everything I own. Then I decided I wanted to wear my (other) polka dot scarf & earrings. I figured it would be easy to create an outfit around that… HAHAHA!!! I am so naïve sometimes…

Sooo today was a rollercoaster… but end result… super happy. Have I mentioned lately that me and hubby are doing so much better? Have I mentioned how much I love him and how happy I am that he has reverted to the man I married and met. Okay enough of my mush… here is my fashion…  ~besitos~

DOTD: Really Starting To Like This…

I did it again. I mixed patterns… floral and polka dots. I wasn’t going to do this at first but then I just couldn’t help myself. And I love it…

Today I also got my daughters hair straightened and I have to tell you I love how it turned out and she is estactic… I am currently on my way out the door so I don’t have much to say… but I promise to do a post to really catch all my readers up to what’s going on tomorrow (let’s hope I actually remember). My mom is doing better and is home. We are just waiting on test results so we know exactly what was wrong. I hope you all are having a good weekend and don’t forget that at 2am… turn your clocks back (even though every clock I own is on satellite and I haven’t turned back a clock in 3 years… but stilll… don’t forget!!) ~besitos~

DOTD: My New Favorite Color Combo

So today I wore my new favorite shoes and my new favorite combo and I loved how this outfit came out. I do apologize for the bracelet on my wrist but I went to visit my mother in the hospital today and was so exhausted I forgot to take off the visitors band. Today has been the longest day and I am exhausted. I can’t seem to get it together… anyway I did tweet a bit today so that was fun… the best part of tweeting when Bigg Badd Wolf (Notorious Zag) and I came up with an awesome colorblocking idea using orange, purple, and green… she wore it on her blog and I have to admit she rocked it!!! DOTD: Not Quite As I Had Imagined…

I love these pants… I love this top… and they are both from Alloy but what I am not particularly happy how these pictures turned out… I look so… LUMPY… I know I am lumps and bumps… but I was hoping the pictures would have been a bit more polished. Hey… you can’t win them all and they all can’t be magazine worthy photoshoots… but I promised Bigg Badd Wolf (Notorious Zag) that I would post this outfit. So here it is…

You can’t really see the shoes but they are my patent leather mary janes… and I just love how this outfit looked in my head… So I’m going to just live with those images. But I need my readers to know that I’m not so vain that I can’t post my imperfections… I even have a picture of me trying to pose and it going TERRIBLY TERRIBLY WRONG!!! LMAO!!
