Hola Divas...
Are you shocked? 2 posts in less than a week. I am trying my best to just get back into this as my life itself is such a cluttered mess. As I indicated in the previous post, all this traveling is for the birds. Don't get me wrong, I love the work I do. Its just that its hard and difficult when you have so many balls in the air... and financially things are difficult with all the travel as well. But I figure that if I put in the time, I will be rewarded and eventually everything will come together. Positive thinking... that's all I have to count on lately... lol

So this outfit I wore yesterday. I meant to blog last night but as I was traveling... I was too tired once I reached the hotel. So here is the outfit I wore and the pics I took in the Doctor's office before I left. HAHAHA!!! I know... I will take a picture anywhere...

So I don't know if you noticed on the previous post, but I've been partaking in Gwynnie Bee. Its like Netflix for clothes and I can't get enough. I as I am on a eating better kick. And just trying to lose some of this weight. Gwynnie Bee has been awesome. It's a way to wear clothes in different sizes and to not completely kill my bank account. And if I REALLY like something, I can always purchase it. Hubby loves it because of course I'm shopping less... and I love it because I can try styles I normally wouldn't it without the obligation of keeping it. Have you tried Gwynnie Bee? How do you like about the idea of clothes on loan? Would you love a way to be trendy without buying something you will only wear once? Well as always... Thanks for reading... Hola Divas...
I know I said I would blog more often and I mean to keep my promise. Now I am also going to stop with the bathroom pics. I hate them but it's all I had at the time. But my tripod is coming... and with that means picture independence. I hate asking my friends to take my pictures... especially at work. But that is where I spend ALL my time. And now that I travel a lot as well... there isn't always a way (or a place) to take pics.

So while I am on the subject of travel. Let me bring you into my life for a moment. I am a mom, wife, and a career woman. It is hard to maintain all those parts of my life and to do so fashionably. I am in Richmond VA for most of my travel because I manage 2 areas (MD/PA & VA/WV). I have the most awesome crew that any manager could want but its still very hard. So my son asked me if I would have a mother/son date with him, because he misses me. When I'm home, the hubs is super clingy because I was gone the week prior. The daughters want me to do hair and nails and plan outfits when I'm home. It seems that my travel is mainly to rest after the week home. Is that wrong?

I feel like I'm not balancing this well. And I don't have any other friends who travel this much. Or if they do, I don't see it on Facebook. So I lean to my readers. Do any of your have a hard time balancing family life and work? If so, have you found anything that makes it easier? I'll take any advice you are willing to offer because honestly... I'm exhausted. Well... back to the fashion...

DOTD(s): When Life Gets In The Way...

Hola Divas...
I said that I would keep blogging and I am doing everything to keep my promise. Every night I put out an outfit and I tell myself that if this outfit is great I am going to take pictures and post this outfit. But then work happens... and if you work... you know how that goes. You can have all the best intentions in the world and then the day gets away from you and before you know it... you're home and the bra and shoes are off and there is not a hellz chance you're going to put them back on to take pictures.

So that is what is happening to my blog... LIFE!!! I just have to be stronger than the forces around me and continue the fight to blog. So I took pictures (yes its more horrible pictures from the bathroom) but I am going to breakdown what I'm wearing to hopefully make the experience more blog worthy. I guess we'll see how it goes over... Does life get in the way of things you enjoy? What do you do when that happens? Hasta la proxima ~besitos~

So much pressure!!

Hola Divas,
I'm sitting here trying to figure out what I will wear tomorrow to work because I want to look nice but I also want to get this blogging thing back in order. But my mind seems to want to rage against me being great. Everything I pull together is super boring. Of course, I'm probably being over critical but it is what it is.

Tonight, while on Twitter I became excited about blogging again. Also, I found out that my shoe game is missed. So I shall go back to my old self. Because if I'm being honest, I miss it too. Not to mention I haven't bought any new shoes which is sooooo not like me.

There is a lot going on at work, and that has been on my mind a lot lately, but today's sermon has put all that into perspective. I will not let what I can't control... control my actions. Do you allow your worries to stop you from doing something you enjoy? Hasta la proxima ~besitos~

What Has Been Missing... and some awful outfit pics

Its been forever and I'm certain I've lost all my core fans. But I realized today... I'm not happy. And the reason I'm not happy is because I am no longer doing what used to bring me immense joy which is my blog.

This realization is what made me come to terms with the fact that I've got to get some things in order... and stat. First, I need to get my camera lens fixed. Second, I need to get my body back in shape to once again fit my favorite clothes. And last but not least, I need to make time to sit and blog about what is going on with me.

I loved coming home in a cute outfit to take pictures and then to sit and upload the pics with excitement and nervousness. Why nervous? Because as a blogger you always question how your outfit which you perceive to be amazing will be judged by the masses (yea... I say that like I have a huge fan base... lol). You hope and pray that the outfit you thought was dang near designer quality will be admired and used for inspiration for years to come (again it appears I think my blog is bigger than it is... trust me... I know better). But even with all the nervousness, fear, and criticism... blogging fed my desire to try harder... be more creative... and to take more risks with my fashion. Now I can't imagine going back to my humdrum fashion choices of 2009.

So even though the pics may suck... I will blog with my phone until my finances will allow me to fix my Canon camera lens... Below you will find a few outfits I was able to capture recently... again... I apologize in advance for the photo quality. hasta la proxima ~besitos~

I know I suck at this... I mean I keep saying I'm coming back and then I don't... but this time I am making more of an effort to keep you linked into my life. How? You may be asking... well... I created a Tumblr account. Which will allow me to upload pictures and things of my makeup, fashion, and shoes on a daily basis until I can get my lens fixed or purchase another one. Now that the weather is nicer I may just try to work around the horrible lens .. but who knows. Showing My Makeup Addiction Side…

So I realized lately that there are 2 things that wake me up in the morning. Shoes and makeup... and since I am so financially strapped since moving into the house and can't afford any more shoes... Makeup is how I get joy these days. Different looks, and colors with different lippies (occasionally).

Fashion still brings me joy but because nothing fits anymore and again I mention that I don't have any money... I can't buy anything that fits properly so I make do with what I have and its not anything I’m usually super excited to blog about... but there are those days where I am exceedingly proud of my makeup. So much so that I’ve tried to be consistent with my constant  Instagram-ing it... but maybe I can begin posting it here so that I can keep my blogging promise.

I don’t know if most of you are following me on instagram as well… but I thought I would show you my favorite beauty supplies that have me excited to do my makeup lately…

Now as for eyeshadow… I love MAC but I am not so concerned with always using top of the line eyeshadow. I am a firm believer that if you have on a great eyeshadow base, you can wear the cheapest eyeshadow in the world and no one would know who made the eyeshadow, because it would last all day… My eyeshadow base of choice is MAC Groundwork Paint pot

Like I said I love all types of eyeshadows but I do tend to to lean toward bright colors. I like MAC, Motives, Sugarpill, BH Cosmetics and Bitch Slap! but will use just about any brand as long as it doesn’t have too much shimmer. All that glitter seems to be too much for a woman my age. Ordered a new brand but I haven’t tried them yet… so I may update this post later.

These are my 2 favorite mascaras. I also like Maybelline Falsies and Great Lash Big. I do use other brands and play around to see which ones will give me the best definition. Benefit is probably the most I’ve paid for mascara for a while. But Maybelline and L'Oreal will work in a pinch for most looks.

As for liners I will use anything that is super dark and black. I have Ulta, Loreal, Badgal liner, and Kiss for my lower lash line. For my upper lash line I will sometimes use a pencil but usually I will use the Maybelline Gel Liner. I have tried other companies (not MACs Fluidline as of yet) but it is seriously my favorite.

My foundations are usually the same all the time. I have the MAC Studio Sculpt and I have Makeup Forever HD foundation and that is usually all I use. I use studio fix as a powder set or Bare Escentuals. On the days that I don’t want to wear foundation I use BB Cream from Maybelline in Dark.

Now a days I usually tend to go with a nude lip because with my super bright eyeshadow looks… It looks best with a nude lip. But on the days when I don’t feel like doing a bold look for my eyes. I wear a bold lip. I am totally in love with Brazen Berry and Hot Plum from the New Maybelline Vivid Lip Collection.

Other must haves in my makeup closet (yes… it does take up almost the entire linen closet… but I digress)… here are the final products that wet my whistle when it comes to makeup.

I love my banana and nutmeg powder for highlighting… makes my word go round as I get little rest and it hides my puffy eyes (most of the time). I also love my Coastal Scents concealer palette that I use to highlight my brow bone. And my ybf eyebrow pencil helps to complete my look. What do you do for your makeup routine?
