DOTD: Golden Cobalt

I wanted to write this awesome post… but I just finished working and I am pooped. So I wanted to put today’s outfit up on the blog so you guys can see that I am completely serious about blogging regularly (its easier to do it as much as possible and then less later).

I wanted my boobs to look less humungous in this dress but I do love the way the colors came together. I love mustard… and cobalt… why not wear then together.

DOTD: Post Christmas Fashionable

I am soooo glad Christmas is over. It has become one of those stressful times of year that used to make me soo happy. This year I was the saddest I’ve ever been and I haven’t the foggiest idea why. I love to bake and decorate for Christmas but for some reason this year I couldn’t get it together. I think it had a bit to do with my finances… but who knows.

Yesterday, I put on twitter that my outfit for today was going to be super cute… and I still think so… but I hope I didn’t overstate the cuteness of this outfit (I was even thinking that cute-ness is relative to the individual… I’m sick… I know).

Also, today was my boss’ (Pecana) last day. I didn’t know how much it would affect me but it did and I’m sad to see her go. I don’t know what do now… my future is soooo uncertain. Anyway… I am waiting for the New Year because I want to believe that 2012 will NOT be as awful as 2011 was to me… I have every believe that my blessings will come into the new year. I am not much on resolutions (seriously why make a list of things I never complete… lol). Are you ready for the New Year? Are you going to make any resolutions? If so, what are they?

Today I had on my favorite shoes. I love these shoes because they make people stop and pay attention. I had multiple people today say something about these shoes… and well I already know my loyal readers love them.

I was going to say something super great and awesome… but you know… today was LONG!!! And all I want to do is lay down and watch a little television before I pass out into a peaceful slumber. So needless to say… I’m completely blank in my brain. I’m just proud of myself for posting 2 days in a row… So… How are things with you?
**best thing I heard today: “I bet people follow you around taking pictures of your legs when you wear those shoes” (heard from a lady who owns a local consignment shop who couldn’t stop fawning over my shoes)**

I have to be honest and say that I wore this outfit yesterday. And that you have to use your imagination a bit and imagine what this outfit would look like if I hadn't wrinkled it to death sitting at my desk all day. But I must admit that I truly loved the look and the feel of this outfit. And you know how I feel about my shoes… lol

Yesterday I felt like I didn’t stop moving until I fell into my bed… and even then I don’t think I rested well because today I feel like I was beat into submission while sleeping…So today… there will be no outfit… there will only be me wearing leggings and being comfortable… Have you ever pushed yourself beyond your limits and lived to regret it? Do you look forward to Friday evening as much as I do? Do you also have the disorder where when you want to sleep in Saturday and Sunday… but your internal clock still wakes you up at 6am? lol… seriously I did call it a disorder… because I just want to sleep until 12pm and my body is like… hey!!! time to get up!!! lmao… I’m all screwed up.

My genre was "Glam" and I was super excited when I found out I would be doing glam. I knew the skirt I wanted… I also knew the shoes I wanted… and then I had a plan to purchase a smoking hot bustier and then finances didn’t permit me to be able to do it. So as the deadline drew nearer… I was afraid I wouldn’t be glamorous enough. I then got this awesome idea to use my lace top… I decided to wear it the way that Queen Sized Flava (Sarah) suggested while we were in NYC… so I tried it out… and I have to be honest… I felt rather glam… and pretty smoking hot… 5 years ago… I would NEVER have worn this but I love how my fashion has evolved in such a short time. The best part of this… I was inspired by my new blogger companions and can’t wait to do something like this again. Check all of these ladies out on their individual blogs… PLEASE!!!

DOTD: And the winner is… Coral & Nude

Yesterday I knew I wanted to wear my coral dress… again. But I couldn’t decide which shoes I wanted to wear it with. So I reached out to my twitter followers and asked should I do Coral & Nude or Coral & Olive. Well the votes were unanimously for coral & nude. Someone even said she would be wearing black and nude with a hint of leopard… LIGHT BULB!!! (Despicable ME voice)… Leopard accessories!!! I really enjoyed today’s look and I finally was able to wear my first pair of stilettos to the office. I now know it can be done.

Hmmmm… what else is going on with me? Thinking….

ummmm… this is terribly depressing that I am drawing a complete blank. But I have NOTHING in my head right now!! I am not sad. I am not surrounded by drama. My kids seemed to have adapted to the new less stressed out version of me… so there really is nothing to report. I love my new job. I would however love to have a boyfriend or cuddle partner. With all that is going on in my life I would love to have a gayboy. The ones of my past have either moved away or have fallen madly in love *le sigh* lol… so I could use a single gay boyfriend to sit around with me, watch movies and have a bitch session. Also, he could be my cuddle partner but platonically… I do sometimes… feel… Lonely. The ex is always around… always in my face… NEVER smiling. Ugh… I refuse to make him the focus of this post. I’m too happy to let him rain on my parade. Anyway… How are you? Any fun fashion purchases lately? Anything you would love to discuss here or would like me to discuss? DOTD: Bring on the “Re-vamping”

I am so tired today. I almost didn’t make it to church today because I just feel like poo… and my heart is beating like a million miles a minute. But I told myself I had to get to church. So I pulled myself up by my bootstraps and made it into church. I’m glad I did because I would have missed a powerful word that was intended just for me (not only me of course but it did speak to my situation).

Here is something I have to mention. My 8 year anniversary is in 2 days. I had actually forgotten about it until today. I should have known it was coming because I had this crazy desire to put back on my wedding ring yesterday. It was as if my finger craved it back in its rightful place. So I wore it yesterday and today. Even though he has been a complete shyte to me… I really don’t want my mrarriage to end. But at what point do you say “Enough!”? So I will see what happens on Tuesday. I don’t even know if he even wants this marriage to succeed. Some days he is amazing… other days… not so much. Anyway… I’m sure you’re all tired of hearing about my marriage. Moving on…

So today, I decided to revamp a dress I had already worn but in a different way. I like how the outfit turned out, except for one thing. My hair… it seems that since it has started to grow at an unexpected quick rate… it doesn’t seem to look as cute as it did when it was shorter. But it’s at that in between length that is INFURIATING!!! What I need right now… is help!! My natural hair sisters… HELP!!!! What should I do to make this hair look curly and not afro-esque? It was curly in the beginning now it seems to not curl so much as bush. Any hair advice will be tried and taken to see if it works on my hair. Please list any products you have had success with. Understand that my hair is NOT course. It is soft and curly and thin. So when you see my bush… I can actually run my fingers though it with ease. So products for thick course hair may not be the best for me. But I am interested in products that will make my curls more wavy and hold the curl. I appreciate any hair advice you can offer in advance.
