DOTD: Blues Clues

I have to be honest and say that I wore this outfit yesterday. And that you have to use your imagination a bit and imagine what this outfit would look like if I hadn't wrinkled it to death sitting at my desk all day. But I must admit that I truly loved the look and the feel of this outfit. And you know how I feel about my shoes… lol

Yesterday I felt like I didn’t stop moving until I fell into my bed… and even then I don’t think I rested well because today I feel like I was beat into submission while sleeping…So today… there will be no outfit… there will only be me wearing leggings and being comfortable… Have you ever pushed yourself beyond your limits and lived to regret it? Do you look forward to Friday evening as much as I do? Do you also have the disorder where when you want to sleep in Saturday and Sunday… but your internal clock still wakes you up at 6am? lol… seriously I did call it a disorder… because I just want to sleep until 12pm and my body is like… hey!!! time to get up!!! lmao… I’m all screwed up.

DOTD: Just something to fill the empty space

I wanted to do a Divalook of the day (DOTD) today because I had an outfit that I planned with the help of my friends on twitter. But then… My house is chaotic because I began organizing my closet and my clothing and well… I wasn’t done so I didn’t thing getting dressed up for that task was wise. So I kicked it around my house today in leggings & a tank top. But yesterday I dressed to run errands later in the day and this is what I wore…

Keep in mind this is my first time wearing harem pants so I understand if I didn’t 100% capture the look… but I really think I did a good job for my first time. What do you think?

DOTD: Stripe a pose

I realize that when I am really feeling my outfit you can see it shine through in the pics. Today’s outfit is one of those things that when the outfit came to mind, I knew it was exactly that outfit that was going to make me feel fabulous. I wasn’t disappointed… I feel fabulous and I’m glad because I know so many plus women who refuse to wear stripes because of the old fashion rules. I think with most fashion things… its all about what you feel.

The job I was to start this week hasn’t happened yet, so I needed my fashion to help lift my spirits… nothing much else is going on…. How are things going for you? Do you wear stripes? What do you think of today's outfit?

Lo Quiero Ahora: Dresses #1

I decided to finally do a Lo Quiero Ahora post and I wanted to do dresses. If you know me, you know I love dresses and skirts. And I can't get enough of them. So this post will have multiple parts, of this I am sure. So I am doing this first installment today. I am also aware that with no income coming in on my part, these items will most likely remain on my wish list. But I am hoping that I may inspire someone else to purchase something fierce and to have fun with. What's on your wish list... and why?

  1.  CoCo in Green Multi - This dress speaks to me because I currently don't have a rich green dress in my closet and it will definately step up the color I have available to me currently. Also, it is a maxi which I love... and can't get enough of lately. (Curvy Girl Clothing)
  2. Belted Ruched Open Shoulder Party Dress - As many times as I have visited this site, it surprised me that I never noticed this dress before so I am now pleasantly happy I found it. I love the ideas that came to mind when I found it in red. Oh the colors I could wear it with. (She's Got Curves)
  3. Ruffle Spot Minnie Dress - Okay, you know I love dots. I really really love polka dots. It is a look I avoided so long and now I want to wear all the time. This dress is so cute and dotted, and I can't even tell you how hot it would look with my red, fuschia, or purple belt. I must have this dress. (City Chic)
  4. Multicolored Peacock Maxi Dress - I always forget to check this site. And it bothers me because as soon as a few days have passed, I will see someone else wearing something they found on the site but forgot to mention. So this dress is calling my name. I love it, need it, want it. (Jens Fashionplus)
  5. Anastasia Interchangeable Wrap Dress - I have wanted a convertible dress for AGES... and this one is finally in my price bracket (well, it would be if I were making my previous salary). After seeing it on Stiletto Siren, I am more sure than ever that I want this dress... *sigh* a girl can dream. (SWAK Designs)
  6. Striped-Bust Halter Pinup Dress - I love classics: Classic pieces; classic movies; classic makeup; anything classic. So this dress is no different. It is reminiscent of the 40s which draws my attention right away. Then you add the direction of the stripes and I'm sold. I would add a pop of color somewhere, doesn't matter, I still need this dress in my life. (Torrid)
  7. Chiffon Long Ruffle Dress - I posted this pic on Facebook a few days ago and I got some likes which shows me the look of this is appealing to only me. I am loving how this dress is made of Chiffon but is ruffle in a way that is not overpowering. I also love love love yellow and gray together. So... this dress is a winner. (Sizes to Fit)
  8. Turquoise Jewel Detail Maxi Dress - this final dress isn't my pick. I was the maxi my hubby picked. He loved the coloring and thinks I would look pretty sexy in it... So how could I not add it to my wish list. I have to admit... Hubby has excellent taste. (Yours Clothing)

DOTD: Lacey Review

In my previous post, you saw a sneak peek of an entirely new outfit that I wore pre/post Fashion Show. The pieces were comfortable but trendy enough to cause even some older fans to pull me aside and question me about my taste. This is my first review so please bear with me as try to describe how the items in detail.

First, I have on a tank from Faith21. Its soft cotton and it feels great against the skin. The lace trim makes it really fun and funky and versatile. It’s long but not long enough to wear with my all lace leggings but it worked well with my lace panel leggings. I feel that it would be a great wear to have use on a day when all I want is a pair of jeans and a tank, but I still want to look nice. Also, I feel like a lace blazer would really take this up a notch.

The leggings I am sporting were provided from the great folks at Yours Clothing. I wanted to try their jeggings for a while and I wore a pair recently in another post. I was equally excited to try their leggings and was not disappointed. They are really soft and they have a high enough waist so that they stay in place (which is important for me as I have the “mommy” pooch). The lace panel makes them more fun and rebellious and I got many people asking me where I purchased them and I was happy to send more business their way. I am really starting to look at Yours Clothing as having the best selection of plus size leggings. If you want to add to your collection something more than the basic leggings, I would check their website.

The lace shoes are amazing, I wasn’t intending to purchase them but every time I passed them in the store, I could actually hear them saying my name. They are super comfortable, and maybe after wearing them one night, I wish I had gotten them in a size 10 as opposed to the 11, but it doesn’t change the love I have for them. I’ll probably purchase some no slip discs for the shoes and wish for the best. As for where they were purchased… my usual spot… Off Broadway Shoes (of Arundel Mills) and the designer is Kate Preston.

All in all I picked the best outfit to be comfortable while wearing something that would be easy to get in and out of without much trouble. I also liked how it was comfortable but great and chic at the same time.
