DOTD: Strangers Don’t Choose My Fashion

Hola Divas:
I dress for me… I say this as a prelude to a bit of a rant. Yes, I am plus sized. Yes, I have thick thighs and a chubby middle and humungous boobs. But I am me and how I dress is a choice I make for myself everyday. I don’t dress for anyone else other than Yoli. I don’t care if you eyeball me and give me nasty looks because that is you feeling badly about yourself. Don’t hate me because I love my reflection and who I am from head to toe. Women in 2011/2012 need to do better. Seriously, if someone is better dressed than you, you do NOT have permission to then stare and give said person the “stomach virus face”. If I run across someone who is better dressed than myself (yes… it does happen) I usually go out of my way to let them know I like their outfit, shoes, hair or whatever. Why? Because my mama raised me right… Today I wore a mini-skirt (I had originally planned to wear this outfit yesterday but I seriously didn’t get out of bed until like 4pm) and I got so much hate while perusing my local Dutch Amish Market. Especially when one of the women was old enough to be my Grandmother. I seriously wanted to walk over to her and say “Bish, you know better!!!” but I didn’t. My hubby was like a kid in a candy store (literally) because they had so much great food and sweets available. I think he is going to “catch the ‘betes” (diabetes) after he eats all the goodies we bought.

Anyway… I had plans to record a video for Thanksgiving and that never happened. I ate too much and really don’t care. And now I’m just trying to do my best to enjoy these days off. I am completely tuckered out. I would regale you with tales of my weekend... but continuing to lift my fingers to type is exhausting me further lol. I will just show what I wore and let you see my video I recorded yesterday...

Also, bought some NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils today and whoa!!!! I can do my makeup in 5 minutes and look fabu!!! If you haven't indulged... you need to get some pronto!! Also, check out YouTube videos so you can really see their potential... seriously!!

DOTD: The Office Wasn't Ready For ME!!

Today I am super duper exhausted. I am doing a lot at work and my day has ended at almost 10pm on the last 2 days. I have missed so much of my kids this week its not even funny. But this is what I signed on for, a hectic job that has a lot of responsibility and stress.

Anyway, there isn’t much I can talk about on here that isn’t about work and wouldn’t bore you to tears. So I will just post today’s outfit and hope that all is well with my readers. Because I haven’t said it in a while, but I appreciate each and every one of you who takes the time to stop by and especially when you take an extra moment to leave a comment. You have no idea how that little thing makes a day that I want to hide under my desk, just a little bit better. What makes your day better?

Today’s outfit is me being comfortable after 2 days of hosiery and stilettos. I wanted to be comfy but feel trendy. You can tell that no on in the office knows anything about OTK boots because they all stopped when they saw me this morning… like… OMG!! Is she wearing those boots to work?!! Lol… I don’t care, I am covered up and I don’t look trashy, so what is the problem? What do you think?

Sizes to Fit Review: Diamonds Fall-ing from the sky

This sweater-like tunic was sent to me from the kinds folks at Sizes to Fit. When it arrived, I kept putting off wearing it as I again was being hindered by my own ridiculous fear. I thought it would look silly on my lumps and bumps. But after I put it on with these leggings to have a moving around outfit (I have a lot to do today) I realized this was just the thing I needed. Best things about this tunic:

1. The length
2. The colors (navy, silver, black… makes it versatile with multiple pieces)
3. The band around the back (not sure why that was really appealing to me… but it is) 
4. The silver diamond shapes… seriously… super cute!!!

I finished off the look with my over the knee boots… and I was instantly a huge fan of the possibilities of this tunic. The fall wind is a bit nippy today so I added my crop denim jacket. Once I slapped on my 80s inspired huge silver earrings, I felt as though this outfit was complete. I love the end result… What do you think?
