DOTD: Oh The Rain…

So today I had to take my picture in the office before I left for the day. It was raining like crazy and myself and my new work “esposa”, Maria, were held hostage for a moment while we both prayed the rain would stop. Well it didn’t stop… it kept going and going… so we ran in the rain and I then ran smack dab into traffic. Maria asked me to flip around and hang with her to get a pedicure. Well… how could I resist hanging with her when it is so gross and I’m barely moving anyway. Not to mention she is the sweetest and we’ve connected (I love people… I really do). After my pedicure I hopped into my car and headed home. No more traffic… YAY!!

I wanted to hang out with my friend today… but of course the hubby is probably somewhere knee deep in alcohol so I can’t leave my kids here. So I’m stuck also. I really loved todays outfit and I got a pedicure… so that is why I haven’t kirked out and tried to hunt down the “hubby” and beat him with a flip flop until he passes out into a coma (do you know how many times I would have to hit him for that to happen? That is how much he infuriates me). But I digress… I did love today’s look… but I get the feeling that the pictures (darn broken lens) don’t do it justice.

DivaLook: Big Hair is Beautiful

I fell in love with big natural hair. And the more big beautiful natural hair I see online… the more I want it NOW… and of course my hair is growing at a snails pace. So I followed the advice of a few friends and went on the hunt for a piece that I could rock until I have a bit more hair. Or can switch it up on occasion…

I totally had all the intentions of doing an outfit post today… but the rain and the fact that I didn’t carry my memory card with me today killed that idea quick!! So hopefully tomorrow I can do a cute outfit and a full body hair reveal. But so far… What do you think?!!

DOTD: And the winner is… Coral & Nude

Yesterday I knew I wanted to wear my coral dress… again. But I couldn’t decide which shoes I wanted to wear it with. So I reached out to my twitter followers and asked should I do Coral & Nude or Coral & Olive. Well the votes were unanimously for coral & nude. Someone even said she would be wearing black and nude with a hint of leopard… LIGHT BULB!!! (Despicable ME voice)… Leopard accessories!!! I really enjoyed today’s look and I finally was able to wear my first pair of stilettos to the office. I now know it can be done.

ummmm… this is terribly depressing that I am drawing a complete blank. But I have NOTHING in my head right now!! I am not sad. I am not surrounded by drama. My kids seemed to have adapted to the new less stressed out version of me… so there really is nothing to report. I love my new job. I would however love to have a boyfriend or cuddle partner. With all that is going on in my life I would love to have a gayboy. The ones of my past have either moved away or have fallen madly in love *le sigh* lol… so I could use a single gay boyfriend to sit around with me, watch movies and have a bitch session. Also, he could be my cuddle partner but platonically… I do sometimes… feel… Lonely. The ex is always around… always in my face… NEVER smiling. Ugh… I refuse to make him the focus of this post. I’m too happy to let him rain on my parade. Anyway… How are you? Any fun fashion purchases lately? Anything you would love to discuss here or would like me to discuss? Usually I would jump at the opportunity to do an outfit, but I as so tired and lazy I didn’t feel like getting all dolled up, so I decided to do my celebrity style on well my other love… Makeup. DOTD: Good Girl With an Edge

I’ve been waiting to wear this dress since I got it in New York at re/dress nyc. I loved this dress the moment it was on my body because it fits as though the fit model was built exactly like me. I knew it would be perfect to wear to church, work, or wherever. It has a corset tie to the front which gives this good girl dress an edge. Once you add my cutout booties… I think you can see where my title came from… lol

Today was a good day, I finally told my Pastor that I found a job. I also had him pray over me and my life so that things will stay positive and on the right track. I have to admit that all things in my life are finally looking great (minus my marriage… but I figure that will work itself out eventually – good or bad). I will admit that after church I did come home and threw on some shorts and sandals to run around in. Nothing wrong with the dress… just wanted to be as comfortable as humanly possible. I’m having one of those days… where nothing can break this great mood. I’m seriously all smiles today… How are you feeling today? Are you enjoying your 3 day weekend? Do you get 3 days off this holiday? Are you going to do anything special for July 4th? Me? I’m planning on trying a red, white, and blue makeup look. Hope to be able to post it tomorrow. If I don’t post it, it didn’t turn out so good.

What I love most about this dress is the corset type tie to the front of this dress. It’s like a bit of naughty on an otherwise good-girl look.

ShoeDay Saturday: Getting Dazzled by Shoedazzle

Yesterday was the day I got my new shoe “suggestions” from ShoeDazzle and I have to say I glad I’m working again. I love shoes and they have sent me some amazing choices. But since I am on a budget and a mission… again I feel I would spread the word and let you get some shoes and wear them in my place.
