DOTD: Leopard Overload

I have on leopard earrings, belt, and shoes. I’ve never worn this many leopard accessories in one outfit before. I felt like no one would judge me in church so it wasn’t a problem for me. I wore it and I actually love it.

If you’re new to my blog, DOTD means Divalook Of The Day. I know everyone else uses outfit of the day (ootd)… but I wanted to be different… lol. My need to be original sometimes causes me to confuse others.

Today I was confronted with the fact that my anniversary is coming up. It is a little over a week away. It sucks… because… well… it just sucks. I wish this marriage could be fixed, but I think we are past the point of fixing. I think now he thinks this is the better version of himself… and I’ve never hated a person as much as I hate him as he as today. Anyway… nothing I can do about that… on to the fashion.

What do you think of this outfit? Do you think I executed it well? If it were you, how would you change it?

Outfit Breakdown:
Dress: Target (Pure Energy)
Sweater: Torrid
Ring: Flea Market
Shoes: Qupid (ebay)

DOTD: Sweetest Thing

Today was a day I needed. I needed a day sans drama where I could let my windows down in my truck and let the wind blow through my hair. I am still on the search for a white dress for FFFWeek & I don’t know how I will do this… as I mentioned before… not a fan of white. Anyway… Didn’t find anything. I didn’t really put much effort into looking either. I was a little distracted by the sun, the breeze, and my cup of Agua de Sandia (Watermelon Water… the best thing at my local Mexican restaurant…. YUMMMM!!)

Today was an awesome day. Not that it’s over. I plan to complete it with a glass of Moscato and some good movies on TV and some fashion inspiration on my laptop. I have so many ideas on what I want to pack and take with me. I also know what I want to wear before I leave. And what I would love to find while there. So much excitement for my NYC trip.

But this is Memorial Day Weekend. I hope you all enjoy the weather, the barbecues and the day off. I noticed that of my favorite blogs… only a few have been blogging in the last few weeks. I guess that explains why my numbers are doing so well. I hope that my fellow bloggers are doing well and that they aren’t blogging because they are so busy enjoying life to update a blog. But I have nothing else going on… soooooo…. ummm… *giggles*. I also updated my BlogRoll in the side panel and tried to include some new blogs I found. If your blog isn’t there… let me know… it was an oversight. I want to include all who have contacted me. *Smiles*

Now… I ask… What do you think of today’s casual look?

ShoeDay Saturday: Steve Madden Most Desired

I love Steve Madden. I only have about 3 pairs of their shoes. But I love each one of them equally. I give them more tender loving care than any of my shoes because I paid retail for these shoes. So I occasionally peruse the website to see what I like.

So I recently noticed that Saturdays are the worst day for my blog. I tend to be running around getting so much done that I don’t have time to post my outfit and sometimes my outfit is not exactly blog worthy. So I will start doing these shoe posts to give my readers something to enjoy while I run around like a crazy person. The best part is I can do them first thing in the morning before breakfast for my kids and not have to worry that my blog is slacking all day. I hope you enjoy this and let me know if there is a retailer you would love to see here. Right now I include shoes I formally could afford. Even though there may be some high end shoes included just for fun. Let me know if you like this new feature.

DOTD: Rollercoaster Rides Make Me Nauseous

Yesterday was too much. I made some connections so that I can have a place to stay for FFFWeek. And I found out that I should be able to pull this off financially. I was finally feeling much better about the trip. Some other goods news was received so my good mood was just sailing along. Also, I was fashionally (yes that is another of my made up words) fabulous yesterday.

Then, I got an email from my son’s school. And because of that I sent him a text message letting him know he would be grounded when he got home. I told him that there would be a note on our dry-erase board for him when he got home (yes… I’m one of THOSE moms). The note pretty much indicated that he was grounded, couldn’t have company, and his PlayStation 3 was in my truck.. with me.

Then something drama happened and it included the police getting called because my son tried to attack me.  My husband said that if he had been here it would have gone off differently. I said if he had been here he would be in jail and it would have been more drama then it was already. Not to mention, how is he going to say he would have protected me when he drinks like a fish and is stressing me out more than my son? I feel like the men in my family are trying to make me crazy. I feel like they are trying to see how much they can push me before I fall off the edge. I know you may think this is a bit much to disclose on my blog… but this was traumatic for me. My son has ADHD and his actions are questionable… but NEVER like this. I wanted to ask my readers if they have kids with ADHD, or if any of you work in the behavioral field and have information on any ADHD medications and therapies that may work better than what he is currently doing? I want my son back. He will continue to go to church with me, he will remain medicated, and he will see someone to talk out his frustrations. But anything additional that you know of would be greatly appreciated.

After all of the drama… I went to bed. I was worn out and stressed out and just sick. I didn’t eat dinner because my stomach was a bubbly mess.  We’re fine today… but he had an incident in school and got suspended this morning. So I really know now that he needs serious help.

How could a day start off so good and then end so terribly wrong? My son is now feeling better. He said he’s getting bullied and he took it out on the wrong person… me. I love him and I know he loves me. Yesterday was one of the worst of his life and mine. So today… I wanted to start it off nice and let it continue in a good way… And now that it is later in the afternoon… things are really looking… better.

The LORD is good,
a refuge in times of trouble.
He cares for those who trust in him  Nahum 1:7 (NIV)

Now onto the fashion… I love this dress… wore it’s twin HERE. This one was longer than I remember… lol… but comfortable just the same. Thought it would be fun with this vest… and I finally got to wear these shoes for the second time. YAY!! What do you think of this outfit? Do you think the vest is too much? What fashion will be included in your 3 day Memorial Day weekend?

P.S. There was a police officer who watched me take these pictures… oh the pressure!!! lol!!!
